We LOVED our stay!  It was hard to leave!
This was the first time we traveled with our pups!  It was great to see all the pet owners walk their dogs throughout the complex.  We enjoyed our time with like-minded pet owners on the beach.  One of our pups even made a friend with the dog of a family sitting next to us!

We enjoyed the privacy of Port St Joe as we do not care for the high rise condos & commercial hotels.  Loved the morning walks through the state park next door!

We can’t wait to return and would love to book 416 Barrier Dunes Dr. (Barrier Dunes 67) was it was very convenient to get to and from the beach!

We enjoyed our time at Barrier Dunes immensely!  The home was so comfortable it was almost like being at home!

We enjoyed exploring the beach and looking for shells. We also went to St. Joseph State park and checked out the beach and dunes there. Another day we rented kayaks and paddled around the bay. We also took a trip to Apalachicola and did some souvenir shopping and ate lunch at the Owl Café….delicious!  We also went to Mexico beach and had dinner at a seafood restaurant called Toucans. Towards the end of our trip we to St. George Island….very beautiful!!

We had such a wonderful time and wished we could have stayed longer.  We hope to return to Cape San Blas soon. When we do…we’d love to stay at Barrier Dunes!

ur experience was great. Cape San Blas is truly lovely. The miles of open beach makes for great strolls up and down the peninsula. Our dog loved going in and out of the water and rolling in the sand.
There is so much to do including bike rides, horseback riding, canoe/kayak rides, and much more. It is a great spot to bring your dog as well.

Barrier Dunes is a fantastic facility. It was fully stocked with so many of the things from home so just getting there was the hard part. Wendy prepared us for what to bring and what was there for us. The whole process was very easy.

My family and I would go there anytime!

We had a fantastic time on our Cape Escape 🙂 Barrier Dunes 67 was perfect – fully stocked with everything and anything we could have needed and super clean and comfortable. We really felt at home all week, so much better than staying in a hotel!
The location was great, just a short walk to the pools and the beach. And it was so private and quiet, we were thrilled! We also spent some time at the state park beach, both on the bay and the gulf and could not believe how quiet it was. How often do you get a beach virtually to yourself in Florida?

Our pup wasn’t all that fond of the water, but he did enjoy the beach and meeting all kinds of doggie friends. I wasn’t sure about how the vacation with the dog would go, but it worked out great. Everything was very clean and the people and dogs were all very friendly.

The weather was perfect, we enjoyed shelling, snorkeling and kayaking on the bay. The sunsets were beautiful and we even got to see some dolphins. One night we drove into Apalachicola for dinner (the Owl Café was fabulous). It was just a very relaxing vacation and we will definitely be back next year!

We had an absolutely fantastic time. The location was exactly what I wanted – we took lots of lovely long walks with the dog and she came swimming with us! It was so relaxing and peaceful. I would definitely love to come back — it is a wonderful escape from the city. Thank you for all your help organizing on short notice — the ease of organizing certainly added to the relaxing experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at the condo and Cape San Blas! It was a relaxing place for all

of us. We had a great time scalloping and got our quotas for the day. Our daughter and son-in-law were the King & Queen of finding the scallops! Their first time and they loved it!

We saw 2 turtles swimming in the bay and dolphins feeding on bait fish. It was neat. We enjoyed the evening sunsets & rainbows. Dakata enjoyed waiting on the beach….wish he could have experienced this in his younger days. Thanks again for your all your help and we look forward to another trip to the Cape!

We absolutely LOVED our time at Barrier Dunes 15. It was so comfortable and relaxing. The sunsets were awesome, and our time on the beach was the best. The kids loved swimming in the ocean. We saw 2 dolphins one day. We also went into St. Joseph’s State Park and took a hike along the bay. We saw many crabs on the beach there. We were thrilled to stay the extra night too.

Thanks again for a great place to get away….especially from Wisconsin at this time of year! We really appreciated working with you!

We just finished the best vacation in thirty (30) years at Barrier Dunes #15. These are the things that we enjoyed. The direct view of The Gulf and the porch off of the living area. It was a great place to rest with our buddies (dogs) and to enjoy the great weather (in January). We rode our bike’s frequently and found the closeness to St Joseph State Park and the bike trail along side 30E to give us a safe trail and enjoyable scenery. Conehead’s restaurant, which is within walking distance, tuned out to be one of our favorites. Their seafood gumbo is tremendous. They have a full menu with quality food at a reasonable price.

The beach was fabulous and the other guests were friendly. Everyone was dog friendly and took responsibility for their pets. The pet stations and walking areas in the facility were handy and well planned out. The condo was equipped with everything one would need and more and the information provided helped to be familiar with the community. When I needed assistance, Wendy and her staff, were prompt and professional in helping us. We definitely will be back. Thanks for a wonderful time.

We really enjoyed our time at the cape. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather. We loved the stocked kitchen and used your crockpot several times. Made dinner in the morning, then spent the day at the beach. Your place was very clean and comfortable. Used your washer and dryer which worked well and nice they supplied the detergent.

We had dinner at sand bucket. Wonderful BBQ !!! And Indian Pass Raw Bar Seafood was great there. Really long wait on a weeknight, but we expected that. We also went horseback riding on the beach through Broken a Toe, which was really lovely. It was nice walking through parts of the bay . Also rented bikes and rode on the nice bike paths, and went into the state park. We had a fire on the beach that was wonderful.
