We had an amazing time as always staying at Turtle Crawl. Wendy with Cape Escape makes renting so easy, the home is beautiful and furnished with everything you would possibly need for your beach getaway! Can’t wait to go back soon!!!
Just spent a week on The Cape. Booked a condo with Wendy through Cape Escape Vacation Rentals and stayed in Cape Escape I at Barrier Dunes. Wendy was great. We can’t say enough great things about her and her thoughtfulness during the entire process and the time leading up to our trip. Her list of amenities are amazing. You can tell she is a mother who remembers how much work it is for mom to get the family ready for a week long trip! With 3 children in tow our list of items we needed to take was very limited considering everything that was already available at the house. She even called me a few days before our trip and gave us some insight on where to take our pontoon in the bay in hopes of seeing some dolphins. Her advice did not disappoint! We came so close to a group of dolphins my daughter nearly touched one!! Although the Gulf was much more rough than what we have seen in the past, a week on The Cape is Heaven in our minds. We look forward to returning. Hopefully sooner than later!

I came back to edit and add that our house was extremely clean when we arrived! Despite the current pandemic we did not feel unsafe staying in this house. The carpet throughout was very nice and clean and the bathrooms were as well!
June 2020 My family of five had a wonderful stay in Cape San Blas at Turtle Tracks! The condo is at a very convenient location to the beach….and a short drive to the park, where we were able to enjoy some time on the bay with a pontoon rental! The condo was very clean, and had every accessory we needed to enjoy our stay! Thanks so much! We will be back next year!
My family and I stayed in Turtle Tracks for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The owner was quick to answer any questions we had and the home was very clean. It was a quick walk to the beach and pool, even with 4 children. This is our second time booking with Cape Escape vacation rentals and we will definitely book again.
My husband and I along with our daughter’s family returned recently from our vacation at Cape San Blas where we stayed at Turtle Crawl. It was a very nice condo with everything we needed and more. Very very very clean. We felt right at home. Our three dogs were welcome and they had as much fun as we did. Thanks Wendy for making sure our stay was terrific!
We just came back from a week in Sea Breeze. What a wonderful time we had there! The house is cozy, fully equipped, and beach is a few steps away. Secluded, perfect for this pandemic moment we are living. We had lots of useful information before the trip and even during our stay, we had easy and quick access to Wendy. I totally recommend this rental if you are looking for a stress-free vacation!
We have booked with this owner several times in the past and were not disappointed! We go to the Cape to unwind and love the area. The home was well appointed with several amenities – including boogie boards which makes for great fun in the waves. The layout of the home is nice, as there is plenty of space for everyone. The open concept of the first floor allows people to visit and hang out on the (hopefully) few rain events and makes for relaxing evenings. The loft would be tight for adults, as the ceiling is very low – be careful going up the steps!!! It’s fantastic for kids, though. This was the smallest beachfront unit we have rented, but still – 10 out of 10 recommend!
It was perfect for our vacation. We’ve been back twice. The dogs loved it and the community is charming. Highly recommended for a peaceful beach trip

Hubby and I had a great escape to Wendy’s Cape Escape 1 on Cape San Blas. Her reservation, packing info, and check-in information was clear and easily followed. The rental home was immaculately clean and very cozy. The AC temp of the home was perfect. The walk to the beach was short and easy, equivalent to a typical city block.
The beach chairs supplied with the unit in the carport were lighter and more easily carried to the beach than the camp chairs we brought – much appreciated. When we grew tired of bobbing and swimming in the gulf and lounging on the beach, and wanted to retire to “home” Cape Escape, the back porch was our preferred hang out place.
It is situated facing North East, so lounging there from mid-morning on into hot afternoon means shade and breezes. Plus it is surrounded by palm trees that further shade and give some privacy – and the birds nesting in the trees were interesting to watch. Delightful.
We enjoyed grouper and scallops dinner at Provisions, 15-minute drive inward to Port St. Joe. Note: Basically all Cape San Blas properties along the entire cape involve steps… lots of them. The homes are on sturdy stilts, with the living quarters a full flight above the parking space, and another flight or 2 typically to bedrooms. Accessing the beach here also involves steps up and over the sand dunes, so including this note for renters looking to bring mobile limited family/friend members. Thanks Wendy for a great get-away!
