Thank you for checking in. We had a fantastic week at Cape San Blas. We appreciate you sharing your home with us so much. It was in great shape, clean, well-stocked, and very close to the beach and pools. Our younger girls loved watching turtles at the pond.

We enjoyed shopping in Apalachicola and Dave and I took time for a late lunch at The Owl Café one day. That is something we now look forward to every year. This was our fifth year returning to the Cape and I know we’ll be back. I try to describe Cape San Blas to folks who are familiar with the 30A beaches in Walton County. The Cape is not crowded (most of the time), the beaches are gorgeous with terrific shelling, the sea life/wildlife is incredible, and it’s perfect for low-key family time, especially to include our dog. We play a lot of games and cards, go crabbing and dog-walking on the beach, cook most of our meals in, and just enjoy being together without rushing around. We did enjoy a day on the bay with kayaks and paddle boards with Happy Ours. We loved getting to see the sea turtles.

Thank you for making our rental experience easy and trouble-free. We didn’t have any problems, but I knew if I needed to contact you we’d be well taken care of. I did buy a can opener for the house, and would have enjoyed a larger colander, but otherwise, we had everything we needed.

Thank you again for generously sharing your home.

We didn’t have any problems

It was just a wonderful vacation and we really couldn’t have asked for anything more. The condo was so well equipped, more so than any other rental I’ve stayed at. We brought beach gear with us but a lot of it stayed in the car. There were plenty of chairs and toys and gear. More than we could even use. The inside was just as cute and clean in person as it was in the pictures. Most nights we bought seafood and stayed in and cooked.

We highly recommend the Port St Joe Shrimp Co! The kitchen is so well-equipped, the cookware was awesome. There were enough plates to feed a small army, so I wasn’t always washing dishes. It was a little rainy while we were there, but we still had plenty of time to spend at the beach. We went in to the Port St Joe Piggly Wiggly to get groceries, visited the Lighthouse, and drove through the quaint little downtown area. We also drove down to Apalachicola one day, another neat little town with lots of fresh seafood restaurants.

Best of all, we relaxed and spent time playing on the beach and at the pool. Our little girl and our furry boys loved it all! My husband actually considered not having cell service to be a bonus feature! The wi-fi worked great throughout the unit too. Bethany cried when we left and we honestly can’t wait to get back. No crowds and no traffic make for one of the best vacations I’ve had. All of our friends and family have asked us how we found it and they want to check it out now too! Maybe we should have kept the secret to ourselves though! Thanks again, Wendy and all the staff for such a great vacation. Hope to get back your way sooner than later!

The condo was so well equipped

It was all your website said it was and more! We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay at Barrier Dunes #12, Pelican View. Such a wonderful property. Upon arrival we had NO second thoughts about our choice for a vacation spot and no surprises (except how nice the condo and grounds really were). Even the weather cooperated with clear skies, clean beach sand, warm water and tropical breezes. Everyone from the guests to the people taking care of the property were very friendly. It was refreshingly nice to know we could leave our things on the beach and outside the condo overnight without fear of losing them. The people at the complex were definitely a nicer class that know how to enjoy themselves tastefully.

Thanks very much to the owners (the Evans family) for offering a venue that enabled a relaxing and gratifying vacation experience.

Such a wonderful property.

Absolutely the best of the best! Oh, my goodness! Having your first cup of coffee in the mornings on the balcony of the master suite was amazing! And so easy since we had the lovely “coffee station” right in the suite…..very thoughtful!

This was our 5th trip to the Cape and we honestly didn’t even consider booking with anyone else. We’ve really come to appreciate all the extras that you include, the way you have simplified the check-in and check-out procedures, the beautiful, immaculate condos and, of course, the gorgeous, uncrowded beach!

Maisie, our little Westie, had a great time! She loves the beach (and just looks so adorable because she is the exact color of the white sand!) Our friends (many of whom are more familiar with Panama City and Destin) simply cannot believe that we put our “beach stuff” out on Saturday when we arrive and don’t bring it in until we have to leave for home. It just doesn’t get much better than that….

Our 2 sons and their lovely wives were able to join us this year. Although we all live within 30 minutes of each other, we seldom have time to just relax and be together. One evening we bought some fresh shrimp and prepared a wonderful scampi with angel hair pasta. We all ate together out on the deck as the sun was setting. There was a nice breeze and we had such a good time laughing and talking over one another. That is a memory I will always cherish…

Every year we think we’ve had the best vacation ever and this year was certainly no exception. We can’t wait to get back to the Cape!

Thank you for everything you continue to do to make our experience enjoyable and stress-free. We’ll be in touch as soon as we know how our schedule looks for next time.

Again, many, many thanks!

Absolutely the best of the best!

Thank you for returning the deposit …really appreciate the timeliness of getting that done.

We had a GREAT time. It is easy to see why people come back there time and time again. The view was so beautiful and we really enjoyed our unit. We met our neighbors on either side and they were so very nice. In fact, I have some pictures of the little boy in #11 when he was fishing that I will send you to forward on to them.

It was so great to be able to have Biscuit down there with us and everyone is so great with their dogs there. She loved the beach and went kayaking with us too!

Thanks so much for your help in getting everything arranged. We will definitely be talking to you again for future ventures!

We had a GREAT time. Will be future renters!

We did make it home safe and sound….and sad! We’ve done numerous trips, Disney Cruise, all inclusive resorts etc., but this was the first vacation we’ve ever taken as a family where I had tears in my eyes when leaving! We literally did NOTHING! I cooked all the meals at home and spent some very valuable and hard to get family time with my 2 girls and husband.

While we were there we saw dolphins! One even swam about 5 feet way from a guy out in the water to get her baby away from him…it was so awesome. The home made us feel comfortable right way. We settled in as if we had lived there forever. We truly had a great time!

We will come back for sure. I am hoping to do a family reunion there with some of my sisters and their families. My husband travels A LOT. We don’t see much of him. On trips he is usually on the phone. Not at Cape San Blas…due to the no cell phone or limited cell phone coverage, we had him all to ourselves. It was really great for girls to have their dad’s undivided attention. Thanks again!

I had tears in my eyes when leaving.

We had a fantastic time. I’ve never been to a rental that was so well-stocked, especially the kitchen. The weather was gorgeous and the beach is the nicest I’ve seen (and I grew up in St. Pete and saw lots of beaches!) Our granddaughter loved her first experience with the gulf and we were all grateful we didn’t have any oil spill problems. I know we’ll plan to go back to the area again; in fact, my husband was asking about going in the winter on the drive home. Thanks for everything. You did a great job of keeping us posted about everything and that really helped us know what to expect!

We had a fantastic time at Cape San Blas!

Our trip to the Cape was absolutely fantastic! Pelican View was awesome and had everything we needed. My husband enjoyed the trip very much….many changes since he was last there, but all GOOD! We had 1 stormy day but we went exploring in Port St. Joe, Indian Pass, Apalachicola and St. George Island. Ate at the Indian Pass Raw Bar and at Boss Oyster House in Apalachicola—both places were AWESOME! Nothing like fresh raw oysters, steamed shrimp and bay scallops!! We went horseback riding on the beach with “Two-Bit” and they were great…beautiful horses…lots of fun! Being on the Cape with the beach literally at our back door (and having the beach practically ALL to ourselves) was so amazing…we got to see several pods of dolphins swim by one morning RIGHT in front of us! Must have been 14-16 of those beautiful creatures! All in all, I have to say it is one of the BEST vacations EVER…we will definitely be back.

Thank you SO much for all your attention to details, your timely responses to emails and for helping us plan and experience such a wonderful vacation!

BEST vacations EVER

Pelican View was fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed our week there. The only bad thing was we had to come back to the “real” world & couldn’t stay longer. The gulf front decks were beautiful!

As the Cape is unspoiled by high levels of commercialism, the stars are brilliant and plentiful. The evening breezes were spectacular.

The rental itself had plenty of room for my husband, mother, father, daughter, son, nephew and me. It was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The beach closet had plenty of chairs, toys, cooler and more. The walk to the beach was very short and easy.

We only ate out once (Dockside’s in Port St. Joe) and used the kitchen for the rest of our means. It was well stocked and made mealtime wonderful. We saw dolphin, deer, turtle tracks and turtle nests and the most amazing bioluminescent display in the surf at night. Fires on the beach were also special. My daughter very easily made friends on the beach and at the pool. Also— when you are told cell service is spotty—that’s no joke!! Enjoy that and unplug!

This was our 1st stay at the Cape so I cannot speak of any of the other rentals, but if Wendy’s other rentals are as inviting—you have nothing to lose and everything to gain! Her customer service & attention to detail is on point and commendable. It was a pleasure working with her and I can’t wait to return to the Cape!

Pelican View was fantastic!

We’ve been to The Cape many times but this is our first time staying in Barrier Dunes. Pelican View was in excellent condition and by far, the best “stocked” home we’ve ever stayed in. Usually, we have to buy the basics–salt, pepper, olive oil, cooking spray, foil, trash and sandwich bags, etc etc. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find it all there. Unlike many others places we’ve stayed in at The Cape, the unit was also exceptionally clean–another nice surprise. The AC worked BEAUTIFULLY and the extra (minisplit) unit in the 3rd Floor Master was much appreciated. This unit is right on and looks straight at the water–the VERY BEST views of The Gulf. Also, our deck was VERY private. Captains chairs were a nice touch for dolphin and turtle watching.. Nicely decorated and very well taken care of. The community pool was also a huge hit with our kids…Big kudos to the owners as well as the Mgmt Company. We will definitely be back.

The best “stocked” home
