Archives: Beach Front Paradise

We have been renting in Barrier Dunes for 7 years. This particular unit we have rented for the past three years (staying 6 weeks). We have already booked for next year and will continue to book as long as we are able to travel.

Paradise is immaculate, beautifully decorated, plenty of pots and pans, utensils etc., astounding view of the beach and gulf with lovely palm trees. You walk directly from the deck to the beach. The above is also true for all the units we have rented through Wendy Jackson. Wendy is always there for you, should any issues arise. She responds within minutes. What we love about Barrier Dunes is the beautiful white sand beach which is also dog-friendly. Each day Hubby and I would take long walks on the beach. Hubby likes to fish and would take his pole, pail and chair (beach chairs are included with rental) and spend hours, sometimes catching, sometimes not.

Although we only dined out about 2 times a week, the restaurants in Port St. Joe and Apalachicola are excellent. Piggly Wiggly Supermarket in Port St. Joe has everything you might need. I have ordered specialty meat cuts from them as well. There is also the Cape Trading Post a view miles away for grocery shopping. The people are all so friendly and helpful. I cannot express how much we LOVE Cape San Blas and Barrier Dunes. If it wasn't for family back here in NYC, we would move there in a heartbeat. Every evening we would watch the sun go down. We would watch the magnificent sunsets sitting on Adirondack Chairs, me sipping wine and Hubby having a beer. Our only regret is that we cannot stay longer then 6 weeks. Do not hesitate to book this unit. You will experience Heaven on Earth.

Staying at Paradise Barrier Dunes 11 was just what my sister and I needed! The home was so nice and very clean!!   The deck literally hangs over the sand with beach access and breathtaking views!!   We enjoyed having our own balconies in our room as well!! Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed!!   Wendy was easy and incredible to work with!!   Hoping my sister and I can make this a yearly vacation!!   Thanks, Wendy for your hospitality!!!!

We highly recommend Cape Escape Vacation Rentals if you would like a very relaxing vacation. This is our second trip to the Cape and we have already made a plan to come next year.

We had amazing sunsets every night. We loved being able to bring our dog for long walks along the beach, shelling, and playing ball. Wendy is very helpful and the townhouses are equipped with everything you could possibly need.

The Sutler’s

This was by far the most beautiful beachfront home in the area!   You literally walk out from your deck to the beach, which was so nice when you have a dog or small children who might need to go back in for a break.   The owners were so nice and helpful for anything we needed, and we will definitely be back!!!

Great amenities, beautiful views. Everyone was very helpful. Our pups enjoyed the stay as well. Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful vacation. We really enjoyed Paradise, as it really is paradise. The location was amazing: I am having trouble going to sleep now without the sound of waves outside our door. We spent most of our time on the balconies and enjoyed a fire on the

beach nearly every night. We cooked every day and really did very little other than relax and collect shells. The house was beautiful, comfortable and a real treat to spend the week in. We were very satisfied and hope to return again next year.

The local manager was very helpful and accessible which was nice. We had a great experience both while there and with the booking process, which can be a little scary sight unseen. We will definitely recommend you and we will be returning.

(repeat guest) Winter in Paradise was a real treat. It is every bit as beautiful on the Cape this time of year as any other. We had a wonderful time and your attention to every detail, from the lovely art prints, to the excellent book selection, to a basket of cozy throws, was icing on the cake. We had a wonderful time at Barrier Dunes 11 – Paradise. The house was lovely, clean & just about anything you needed to enjoy your time at the beach was provided! The view was awesome, being able to have the patio doors open in the evening, with the breeze and the sound of the ocean waves was just so relaxing. We loved being able to walk out the code and RIGHT onto the sand with the dogs. It’s a lovely, peaceful, relaxing place to stay!

You were wonderful to work with and I would recommend you without hesitation.

We would like to thank the owners of “Paradise” for sharing their home with us. We found the home well taken care of and beautifully decorated. When I arrived and opened the curtains from the balcony I was presented with the most beautiful beach with dolphins playing in the ocean. We feel a sleep every night to the sound of the ocean.

What else can you ask for?
