Cape Me Away earns its name a little more with every hour you spend there. Mornings begin in the cheerful, sunlit main level — granite countertops, the coffee bar ready, the electric fireplace glowing on cooler days, the bay window nook waiting for whoever wakes up first with a book. The beach is 60 steps away once the group is ready, gear loaded from the stocked closet. Afternoons might mean surf, the community pool, or a long sit in the oversized covered swing downstairs — the kind of porch swing that was built for exactly the sort of afternoon breeze that rolls through Barrier Dunes without being asked. By evening the pull of the master suite becomes irresistible: the Gulf turning gold from the private sunset deck, the garden tub drawn, the Gulf view still there through the window. This condo was situated in the perfect location of the Barrier Dunes complex. Honestly just steps away from the back carport and you're at the beach! Short walk, we enjoyed our wine viewing the sunsets on the beach every afternoon. The furnishings of the condo were modern and functional. We brought our own pet sheets for the furniture. It had been 16 yrs since we last came to the panhandle area of Florida. We live in southwest Florida so it's a bit of a long drive up here, but we enjoyed it so much! Thank you, Cape Escape!

Our Airbnb stay was exceptional! The property was impeccably clean and well-maintained, with no signs of wear and tear. We loved the abundance of USB ports and plugs, which made charging our devices easy. The kitchen was fully equipped, perfect for cooking meals, and there were plenty of comfortable seating options both inside and out. The labeled light switches were a thoughtful touch, making it easy to navigate the house. The location was fantastic, just a short walk to the beach in a quiet area. Communication with the hosts was excellent; they were responsive and helpful. The lighting throughout the house was great, with plenty of lamps creating a warm ambiance. The only small downside was that the downstairs bedroom had a full-size mattress instead of the queen mentioned in the listing, but it was still comfortable. The Roku TV was new to us, but it worked fine once we got the hang of it. Overall, we had an amazing experience and can\'t wait to return!

Everything was as advertised. Very clean (which is super important to us). Even found a good beach read in cabinet under tv! Host is quick to respond and always helpful. This area is family oriented and pet friendly. Definitely recommend!

Great getaway We loved every second of staying here as a family with our pup. Everything was clean and check in/out was super easy. Loved being so close to the beach and the rental of a cart and umbrella is a must!! We enjoyed our stay so much we reached out about extending our stay and the owners we were responsive on helping us get the extra night added! We will most definitely be back in the future.

Comfy, view of ocean, all the comforts of home, quiet, literally steps to the beach, heated pool, comfy bed… shall I go on..?! We enjoyed our stay! Loved that we had a view of the Gulf and enjoyed our meals on the deck which had a table, chairs and high chair to take in the view. Super close walk to beach. We also loved the padded porch swing. Kitchen was well stocked and lots of counter space was wonderful. Beach chairs were in great shape and lots of beach floats, etc. We slept well on the comfy bed and it was great to have sooo much closet space and plenty of shelves to accommodate our things. Beautiful condo in a prime location. Fully stocked with everything you could possibly need for a beach vacation. Everything was so clean and comfortable. Devi was wonderful and provided very clear instructions for check in and check out and was always available for any questions or concerns. Would definitely stay again. The stellar service received was unmatched as was the scenery! Our town home offered beautiful amenities; including,but not limited to,ocean front views with all the happenings to ensure each guest is cared for. The beach closet promised all a swell time complete with beach chairs & beach toys! The townhome was immaculate and comfortable with plenty of space to capture solo time when family time was maxed. The neighborhood feel of Barrier Dunes offered secure and safety. Seamless bike rentals and the local Trading Post avl. for any last minute desires or needs! Wonderfully clean unit and everything we needed for a couple of days. The beach equipment, especially was in good working order and invaluable for enjoying the waves! Thanks again!!

The place is very nice and clean. Grill is on it's last legs but it worked. It felt very safe in the gated community. All the residents and visitors were very nice. The only thing is that there is not much there as to restaurants, groceries and generally things of interest to do. However, it was a very relaxing vacation.

The place was very clean when we arrived. Kitchen was well stocked and plenty of beach gear for 4. Short walk to the beach every day and most nights for spectacular sunsets. Long Bills is a short walk to catch a meal or a beer.

The condo was beautifully decorated and clean! Especially loved the master area with beautiful view of the gulf. Will definitely be back!

We had a great time at Cape Me Away! The location just a few steps from the beach was wonderful. We slept well and enjoyed long walks with our dog on the long, uncrowded beach. The view from the upstairs balcony was gorgeous. We hope to stay here for our next trip to Cape San Blas.

Staying at cape me away was a great experience. Everything from the location to the amenities were just perfect. Will be staying here again!

We enjoyed our stay approx 6 days, it was wonderful. We we called to talk to someone about Cape Escape we were told they furnished starters in most items so we took our supply. That was so nice to know that up front and not be caught off guard. They also supplied different items we could use at the beach which was nice, this way we only had to take a couple instead of 5/6(amount of people in our party). Also I emailed with several questions about different thing es: restaurants around, nothing special but I always received an answered very promptly in return, that’s was awesome. I would recommend this place to anyone. This place was as described. Just be sure you can climb the stairs, it’s a 2- bdrm the master is upstairs so we had 2 sets of stairs with handrails to help. Again it was absolutely relaxing our entire visit and we will return there again..

From the great communication from Devi to the details within the unit, the experience was very well rounded. We had everything we need to comfortably stay and also really enjoyed Barrier Dunes. Thanks again!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Supplied with everything you need, clean and comfortable. Appreciate the fact the stairs are totally enclosed. Actually, this is the first place at Barrier Dunes I’ve stayed at that was enclosed. We’ve stayed in 5. Will definitely keep this one at the top of the list.

It had everything we needed, along with beach accessories like sand chairs and an umbrella, boogie boards and beach toys. Very comfortable setting and easy access to the beach and ponds throughout the complex. Our little dog lost a couple of pounds, which she needed, running the beaches and up and down the stairs.

Just needed a place to getaway and relax. This was a perfect choice. Cozy home just steps to the beach in a safe gated community. It is dog friendly which was very important to me and dog owners were very responsible. I felt very much at home.
