We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cape Escape! It was wonderful! Clean, plenty of space for our 2 boys and our Boston Terrier. We loved the community feel of Barrier Dunes.. kids riding bikes, people walking their pups, & to and from the beach. We were just a short walk to the beach & both pools. And super close to the state park, which we love. Longbills & Coneheads are a short bike ride or drive- even walk! We had a minor issue with our AC unit during our stay, but Devi was very prompt in getting someone over to take care of it, which we appreciated during a hot week. Overall, we loved this property & would definitely stay here again.

Great location, nice property, short walk to the beach...

This was our first trip to the Cape. We could not have been more pleased with the entire experience from booking to checkout. Devi was such a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. The process was easy. The unit was extremely clean. The kitchen was well stocked and the supply of beach gear was exactly as described. This was one of the farthest units from the beach but we did not mind as we were also able to enjoy the pond from the balcony. The people we met within the Barrier Dunes complex were very friendly and helpful with information about the area. This was hopefully our first of many trips to the Cape.

This was our second year in a row and Devi and Donovan could not have been more welcoming and gracious We had a great vacation. We already booked same time same place for next year. 😎

This condo was perfect for our two week stay over Christmas! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, including spices!! The closest downstairs had plenty of chairs for the beach so we didn’t have to try and fit some in our car! The pond view from the back was awesome but what was even better was the small ocean view from the Master bedroom!!! It was so cool being able to see if the ocean was calm or wavy from the patio! The owners are also amazing with communication! I highly recommend staying in this unit!

We have visited The Cape Escape II for many years. We have always had a clean condo and friendly and helpful staff. We love the atmosphere and that everyone seems to be dog lovers. There were several places at The Cape we couldn’t take our dog wish made us sad this trip but she loved the Beach and The Cape Escape II. Would recommend the Cape to anyone interested in a peaceful quiet escape to the beach!!

Great stay and very nice walking paths to access the beach. Loved being by the pond too. Plenty of kitchen stuff to use and cook at home. Great Vacation spot!

We loved this place The place was well stocked with cleaning supplies. We forgot our auto dish detergent pods, found a huge supply from Sam’s under the sink. Close to the beach very short walk. All went well

Tom and I thought everything was just wonderful. We spent one month and already booked next year. The townhouse was so charming and the area is full of so many pet friendly people. The beach was absolutely beautiful....great for shelling....and Tom loved shark fishing. We have never been gone from home for a month before and actually hated to leave. Well, same time next year for us. And for our dog Delaney, who had the best time. Plus there is always Devi ready willing and able to help out with anything we might have needed. She was the very best! Thank you Devi for making our vacation one we will never forget, but will repeat! Tom and Jan

The Perfect Beach Getaway! The Cape Escape II was the perfect beach getaway for my wife and I. The unit was very nice and perfectly stocked with everything you could possibly need. They even had a "beach closet" full of beach toys that we could use. The community amenities were great. We were only a short walk to the beach access which was fantastic. Cape San Blas was so amazing! We enjoyed searching for creatures in the shallows of the bay and then fishing and enjoying the ocean as well. A camp fire on the beach as the sun sets is not a bad way to spend the evening. I can't wait to get back to the Cape!

WE LOVE CAPE ESCAPE II! We stayed in Cape Escape II in July of this year and had such a wonderful time. The amenities were comfortable (including the pull-out couch). The kitchen had the things we needed for a few meals. It was quiet and clean and we had a wonderful view of the pond (and the many, many turtles) out back. There were also several games and puzzles in the unit that we took advantage of on the one rainy day. We had 7 people total (4 adults, 2 kids, and 1 baby) and all slept comfortably. Both pools in Barrier Dunes were clean and fun and the beach was beautiful--both pools and the beach were an easy, less than 5 minutes walk from our condo. We did our big grocery shopping at the Piggly Wiggly in Port St. Joe and the Trading Post took care of all our other needs. We tried Long Bill's for the first time and loved it--the food and service were great. We had all of our other meals from St. Joe Shrimp Company right next to Trading Post and it was delicious. We will be back!
