Jeanne DiCello – Repeat Guests (April 2016)
Wendy, just wanted to tell you that we had a lovely time at Barrier Dunes this week. We love the furnishings of your townhome and being by the pond watching the young families fish and feed the turtles.
Shannon Mackey – Repeat guests (March 2016)
Thanks, Wendy! We had a great time. It was so relaxing & RockyDog had a blast running around like crazy in the sand and trying to eat the waves. We’re already trying to figure out if our finances will allow for us to return next spring break.
Diane Dever (July 2015)
My husband and I would like to thank you for the lovely accommodations at the Cape Escape II. We had a wonderful time there on the Cape, snorkeling for scallops, enjoying the beach & exploring the area. We thought that the condo was very nicely maintained & managed.
Teresa Walker & Family (July 2015)
We had the best trip there on the Cape. We loved the condo it was beautiful! The best part of the trip was feeding the turtles every evening with my grand children! Thank you so much for making this a great experience. We hope to return again!!!!!
The Burnette Family (May 2015)
We had such a great time at Cape San Blas. This was our 1st trip to Cape San Blas and we loved it. Barrier Dunes 91 – Cape Escape II was beautiful and so clean. It was nice to find a place at the beach that will allow dogs & big dogs too. We usually stay in Destin but it’s hard to find pet friendly places & especially for large dogs. We loved relaxing at the beach watching the dogs play. It was their 1st trip to the beach & they loved it. We ate at Coneheads 3 times and loved their food! Thanks again for letting us use your condo, it was beautiful.
Hruebes Family (April 2015)
We loved it. Already looking to book next year!
Lynne Ray (November 2014)
We had a fabulous time! Thank you for allowing our big dog there, may places wouldn’t. The house is beautiful.
Kelly Sutton (September 2014)
We had a great time as usual. We love the close access to the beach. The condo had everything we needed and then some. Loved feeding the turtles from the balcony. We appreciate the cleanliness of the rental as well as the feeling of safety being in a gated community provides! Thank you for a great get away!
Rebecca Burgess (September 2014- Multiple Repeats)
We fished our hearts out, witnessed every sunset from the beach, drove to Apalach for dinner, so I would say another great trip!
Patty Hawkins & Family (July/August 2014)
I really enjoyed your house. It was very relaxing there and it had everything we needed. My family enjoyed being able to got to the beach, the pools or to the house to chill out. The dogs really enjoyed the beach.
Your guest information book at the home was a great resource on what to see and do there.
I loved the sunsets, the color of the water and the dunes! Sitting on the balcony enjoying the breeze was so refreshing. I’m very glad we chose your house. We throughly enjoyed our stay.
The Mackey’s (March 2014)
Thanks so much for checking in with us. We have a marvelous time in Florida. The weather was gorgeous (and so warm!!), the beaches were beautiful and empty, and the accommodations in Barrier Dunes 91 were fabulous. The pictures on the website don’t do the place justice. The attention to detail that you have taken with the house is great; we found everything that we needed and more.
It was the dog’s first exposure to the ocean, and he absolutely loved it. He tried to bite at the waves, splash in the water, and burrow his whole face in the sand. It was fun to just sit back and watch him.We will definitely keep the Cape Escape in mind for other get-aways that we need.
Jerry Audler (August 2013)
Barrier Dunes 91 was fabulous! I actually almost wanted a rainy day so I could just sit inside and enjoy it. The artwork and how it is decorated overall is so cool. And everything was there that we needed-down to the pair of pliers I needed to make some hot dog skewers for a campfire. As far as St. Joe Peninsula and Barrier Dunes, I’ll never go to any other place. The scenery was awesome-gorgeous sunsets every night followed by star lit skies. Can’t say for sure which one I enjoyed most. I definitely will come back again. Thanks for bearing with me on the credit card issue-I appreciate the fact that you went “The extra mile”.Thank again and stay in touch.
Stephanie, Don, Nathan and Heidi (our Scottie dog) (July 2013)
We had a fabulous time staying at your awesome town home. Sorry it’s taken so long to respond but shortly after we got home we found an eastern box turtle on the road that had been hit by a car and we ended up taking it to a vet and caring for it until we found a great wild life rehabilitation place that took her. What’s ironic is my husband kept joking about how much he loved the pond turtles while we were at your place. We can’t say enough great things about the place. In ALL our years of traveling we have never stayed somewhere we felt so comfortable until we stayed at your place. I felt like I was waking up at home every morning. I am already trying to plan another trip very soon.Thank you for the best vacation experience! We couldn’t have asked for more.
Paula Thomas (July 2013)
We enjoyed our stay in Barrier Dunes 91 – Cape Escape II very much – we had everything we needed and more. Not much to tell – we just spent a quiet relaxing time on the beach and at the pool with our daughter and granddaughter checking out the area. We had a great view of fireworks on the beach from our balcony! My husband look forward to staying with you again!
Juanita Belcher (May 2013)
I had a wonderful time. I loved the location of the house and the location of the beach. Your house is so beautiful and offered a lot of comfort. Your house had everything I needed. Thank you again
Bianca & Dan Wilhelm (and Ollie) (April 2013- Many Time Repeat Guests)
We had a great time. Enjoyed every bit of it. Only had to use the ac once for a very very short time one day. Will be contacting you soon to book our next vacation.
Sam and Alicia Koonce (April 2013)
We had an absolutely marvelous time! We loved the house – we loved the beach – we loved the state park!!! We really enjoyed ourselves and recharged our batteries! You will definitely hear from us again!
Linda Saye (March/April 2013)
We really enjoyed your home, and wish we could still be there! My husband and son had a great time fishing in the pond and of course the beach was amazing. My husband will send photos ASAP. Thank you so much!
Donna Oldenburg (March 2013)
Back at home and settled in at last. Just wanted to get back to you about our time on the Cape. We still spent tons of time on the beach with the dogs, flying kites, playing in the sand, taking walks, etc.
We loved Cape Escape II (91). It was just lovely. The decor/colors were just to our taste and the floors were lovely. You had us so well stocked with supplies that we wanted for nothing the whole week. I am so happy we choose Unit 91. The kids had a blast feeding the fish and fishing off the deck. They never really caught much, but it was still fun. It was also peaceful. The dogs really enjoyed the deck & spent so much time out there just watching all the other dogs and people walk by. I have some cute pictures of everything. Kids also loved to rollerblade around Barrier Dunes. My husband and I enjoyed playing tennis.
We kept busy all week. Here is a recap of what we did and where we ate:
Arrival date Saturday: Walk on beach and dinner at Sunset Coast Grille. Good service and nice meal with great view.
Sunday: Nice beach day. Dinner at Triple Tails. Hubby loved the Oysters. My scallops were just Ok, but chocolate cheesecake for dessert was fabulous.
Monday. Spent the day in Apalachicola. Lots of fun. Loved the little shops. Took the dogs and they had their first restaurant experience at Up the Creek Raw Bar on the water. What fun and lunch was great. Loved the bisque. It felt a bit warmer there too.
Tuesday: Indian Pass Raw Bar for lunch. Really busy. Very long wait, but crab legs and oysters and burgers were terrific. What an experience. Hungry Howie’s for dinner (not the best ).
Wednesday: Off to Panama City Beach for Gulf World Marine Park. It’s small and certainly not Sea World, but my kids enjoyed it. Good for a half day. Saw two shows and the exhibits and paid extra for my girls to do a hands-on dolphin experience which was $45 each for 15-20 minutes, but they loved getting to touch and command the dolphin.
Gracie O’Malley’s for dinner. Fish was good, hubby liked his steak too.
Thursday: Rented bikes in the morning at Scallop Cove and then to the beach for the rest of the day. Dinner at Joe Mamma’s which we loved. Amazing Clam Chowder (and I come from the East Coast so I know New England Clam Chowder). Pizzas also wonderful. My favorite meal of the week.
Friday: Left at 5 a.m. and sorry to say goodbye.
Quotes from my 9 year old. “It was super fun!”
Quote from my 12-year-old: “Amazingly awesome!”
Quote from my husband: “I thought it was great.”
Quote from me: “A great place to reconnect with the family. Loved it! Our family is always on the go, and even on vacations we tend to over schedule by running from one attraction to another. Cape Escape was the perfect place to be still and enjoy the natural beauty and time together. We all came home relaxed. Being able to bring our dogs made it even better. I loved how dog friendly the area was, from the beaches to te restaurants.
Thanks again for everything. Happy Easter!
Jill Hues (March/April 2013)
EVERYTHING was lovely!! We were VERY comfortable. My husband’s wish was that we would go there and do nothing (except eat seafood). No touristy stuff. In all our travels he knows I like to see everything. So I agreed and we lounged around – worked on the computer, read books, fed the turtles, walked around the resort and to Conehead once. Oh, those donuts at the Trading Post were wonderful! The beach walks were very nice as well. Gretchen would lay in the surf while the wave was going out but get up when the wave came in. She never really went swimming but enjoyed laying beside us while we sat in the chairs and read. I was so impressed with her good behavior. She is a country dog and had only taken 15 minute trips to the vet but she was the perfect traveler and so laid back with all the activity going on around us. On a funny note, this was my first time ever picking up dog poop! It was not all that bad. Here at home we have a doggie door and she goes out and comes back whenever she wants so I was a little concerned about her ability to let us know she needed to go out but we were vigilant taking her out frequently so there was never a problem. We ate at Triple Tails every night. Their seafood was good and we tried everything on the menu – even took Gretchen three nights. We just didn’t feel like venturing further and making more decisions about where to eat. We have talked to both our boys and their families about returning with us, perhaps next spring break, and getting one of the units right on the beach. We thought the resort was a great location and so family friendly. I want to bring bikes and a portable awning and have a fire on the beach next time. How quickly do those units book? Thanks for everything! You have been most helpful in many ways.
Leah Sleger (March 2013)
Sorry it’s taken me so long to reply. I’ve been crazy busy, wish I was still relaxing in Cape San Blas! We absolutely loved our vacation. The condo (Barrier Dunes 91 – Cape Escape II) was excellent. The dogs were SO excited to be on the beach & swimming in the ocean. Our female needed to chase every bird and also decided she wanted to join a pod of dolphins for a swim. Needless to say she’s definitely an ocean baby! We can’t wait to come back.P.S. We ate at the Indian Pass Raw Bar twice and loved it.
Julie Cassidy, Repeat Guests (March 2013)
Once again we had a great time on the Cape. This year my parents even joined us by camping at the state park. This made for extra special memories and we especially enjoyed a campfire and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows on the beach our last night! We returned home just in time to beat the winter storm that hit Kansas overnight. Rather than looking outside and seeing powder white sand we have a blanket of snow that resembles the sugar white sand of the Cape! Thanks for providing such a great home for us to enjoy on our Spring Break!
The Gellis Family (Repeats) December 2012
We had the most wonderful Christmas this year! It was so nice to spend it in such a paradise! The boys, dogs, my husband and I are very rested and happy. Your place is so wonderful and we hope to return next year, too. We have some pix that I’ll forward to you. I think the most interesting thing that happened was that I helped save a pelican that was caught in a fishing line! No kidding! There was a professional photographer there, too, which is unbelievable. He said that he would post the pix to his facebook page. I will be in touch when the pictures are in. Best wishes for a happy new year!
Rebecca Burgess Multiple Repeat Guest (October 2012)
LATHER with little luxuries of Barrier Dunes 91, RINSE with sun, sand, great fishing, and REPEAT – OFTEN. Our recipe for a great vacation. I’ll be in touch for next time, as soon as we can.
Pat Davenport, May 2011 (repeat guests)
We had a wonderful time at Cape Escape II. A usual, we never want to leave. Jim fished everyday and me and Sadie (our Yorkie) fed the turtles. There is a large bass in the pond and it kept toying with Jim. It became his mission to catch it, but the bass had other ideas. Should say, we tried to feed the turtles. The fish were faster and the poor turtles never really had a chance. Was quite funny.
We have never stayed off the beach before (usually beach front) and really did enjoy the quiet! I highly recommend this condo because of it’s private deck. That was so nice and we look forward to renting it again in the future.
Thank you again for allowing us to stay in Cape Escape II. It is truly a lovely place and everything was so clean and organized.
Joshua De Land, April 2011
We had an amazing time. It was like a home away from home (except with a beach out the front door). We will definitely be back!
Julie Cassidy, March 2011 (repeat guests!)
We arrived home safely last night. We returned to temps in the 30’s. Once again we had a great Spring Break at Cape San Blas. It was so nice to return and find the accomodations just as nice as last year! We had perfect weather this year and spent most of our time on the beach collecting shells and taking in the beautful sunsets. We had hoped to try kayaking in the bay this year but had to cancel due to the windy conditions. The people at “Happy Ours” seem quite helpful and we hope to try again on our next trip to the Cape! Thanks!
Gail Avigne, December 2010
All was great; a beautiful home–fully loaded–we loved it and will be back! Thanks for all your flexibility!
Katie Kole, November 2010
THANK YOU so much for allowing us to use your lovely home during the Thanksgiving holiday. It was absolutely perfect! We head down to the Cape quite a bit and we would love to stay at the Cape Escape II again. Also, the new wood floors are BEAUTIFUL! Nice work. Thanks again and I will be in touch soon!
Ryan & Christina Kent, October 2010
Wendy, we had a wonderful time! Absolutely perfect! The house was awesome & it was so nice to have all the things we needed. We loved that there wasn’t anything to do. The sunsets on Cape San Blas were absolutely beautiful and I’m sure the sunrise was too, but we stayed in bed as late as possible :p. I’m so glad this is where we decided to spend our first family vacation with our little boy. We will be back many more times. I know we’re already planning a trip in the Spring and again next October! Thank you so much! WE WILL BE BACK!
Melinda Hicks, October 2010
We absolutely fell in love with the condo the moment we opened the door!!! I felt that it was the cleanest one we have ever rented and very well stocked with everything. The beach was perfect and our dogs knew exactly where we were as soon as they smelled the ocean air. They were in heaven!
We love the bamboo floors and are thinking about putting them on our house. Thank you so much for lettting me know abouut the depostt and you were pleased with how we left the place! We will be coming again next year and we definitely want to stay in The Cape Escape!
Vickie Rogers, August 2010
This was our first trip to Cape San Blas and we l oved it! Your condo was very confortable — our 2 small dogs especially loved the window seat! My husband met a lot of people while fishing in the pond in the back of the condo. The ocean got pretty choppy after the first day, but we still enjoyed the beach. All in all a great experience.
Jerry Riley, July 2010
We loved our stay on the Cape. We’re fairly new dog owners and it has been difficult to find such a nice, dog friendly place. This beach was the first we’ve found tha twe could take our dogs onto. ALthough they are afraid of the water, they hate to be alone and loved sitting in the sand with us. We hope to come back for another vaction. The Cape may now be one of our favorite places!
Virginia Reeves, June 2010
We had a great time. Everyone, including the dog (Buddy) had a blast. It was relaxing and pretty. I would definitely recommend it to others and I feel sure we will be back. Thanks for all your help.
Glenda and David Fuino, June 2010
My husband and I would like to thank you so much for a wonderful vacation. The home was beautifully decorated, the kitchen very well stocked, and the beach more beautiful than any I’ve visited. Our favorite part was the dog friendly atmosphere. Our dog, Sasha, loved interacting with the other dogs in the area. The whole town had a relaxed air that was just what we needed. We will definitely be back and have already suggested Barrier Dunes to many of our friends!
Robert and Susan Donovan, May 2010
I just wanted to let you know the honeymoon at Barrier Dunes 91 was awesome. We enjoyed your beautiful home very much.
We appreciate that you went the extra mile with all the information you provided both on the phone and via email. The book at the Cape had so much information as well. We lacked for nothing while we were there. We especially enjoyed feeding the turtles and fish in the pond from the living room deck. We would walk out and they would come “running”. We enjoyed the beach there as well as well as some other sites and the food in the area. It was EXACTLY what we were looking for on our trip. The privacy and enought to do if we chose to do something. We had an awesome time and will let our family and friends know about Cape San Blas.
Again, thank you for going the extra mile and being availble if needed.
Mike and Rosa Dure, May 2010
We had a marvelous time! It was hard to leave. Thanks again. We will be in touch!
John Hedrick, May 2010
We had a great time! We will definitely keep you in mind the next time we come to the coast!
Tracy Stoner, April 2010
Thank you so much for sharing yoru home with us. We had a great time. We were very comfortable and loved your place. Cape San Blas is Florida’s best kept secret. We will be back. If I can manage some time this summer I will let you know!
Julie Campbell, March 2010
My stay at the Cape was wonderful and I totally enjoyed it. I loved the home and the comfortable decor of the place. It’s a great place to kick back and relax. Niext time I want to go crabbing, fish in the Gulf and go out on an oyster boat. I came home with a gallon of oysters and 5 pounds of shrimp! Thanks for everything and hopefully I willl another wonderful week at of Cape tales to share again soon!
Julie Cassidy, March 2010
We had a great time at the Cape. The accommodations were perfect! We’d love to return again, we just wish the beach was a little closer to Kansas! I’ve told my sister and her family about the Cape Escape and I know they would love to make the trip as well. We really enjoyed the beautiful sunsets over the beach and have some great pictures to remember the trip. We were also thrilled to see dolphins (on several occasions) just off the beach! We didn’t try the Indian Pass Raw Bar until our last day, but we would have eaten there every meal if we’d discovered it sooner!
We will definitely keep Cape San Blas on our list of favorite vacations!
Sam Paschal, September 2009
We had a great time. The weather was almost perfect and the beach and bay were at their very best. I doubt you’ve seen the last of us! Thanks again for the use of your condo!
Tanya Fisher, September 2009
We had a very nice time and were sad to leave. We had everything we needed and a very comfortable stay…so much nicer than a hotel!
Richard (and Meagan) Jones, August 2009
We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Cape and have been planning our next trip since the moment we left! I have attached a picture of our 3 dogs and another I took just moments after proposing to my girlfriend on the beach. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful place with us. We have already reocmmended the Cape Escape to one of our friends with 2 boxers. She saw some of the pictures and wanted to know all about it. Thank you again and we look forward to our next visit.
Michael & Selena Keenan, July-Aug. 2009
Just wanted to let you know I received the deposit check today. Thank you for being so prompt and efficient with everything related to our Cape Escape get away. My only complaint is that it passed too quickly. We had a great time. Everything we needed was provided. I’m hoping we’ll be able to do it again next year.
Rita Cassetari, February/March 2009
We loved the condo, the complex and the beach! All fabulous! I loved that hte condo was stocked with so much stuff so packing for the trip was one of the easiest I’ve ever experienced. The complex was soooo quiet, the people were great and the dogs all had so much fun! Our lab played in the ocean every day adn played with other dogs every chance. We ventured into Port St. Joe, Apalachicola, St. Vincent and St. George. Just wonderful! Thanks for everything!
Kelly Shepard, December/January 2009 (repeat guests)
Once again we had the time of our lives–this week was the best weather we have ever had. There was rain in the forecast and I think it drizzled a little one morning, but we had awesome weather. We were able to enjoy the beach every day.
Thanks so much for everything! I will send some pictures from this time when I feel I can look at them—still feeling a little vacation sick today!
Mark & Sheri Gurman, December 2008
We had a great visit in a very short time! This was our scouting trip for a future vacation and we will be back again soon! Thank you!
Pat Childress, September 2008
We arrived home safely. We had a great time!! It was very relaxing. Our daughter has a very busy career and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. We spent time on the beach, walked with the dogs, napped and caught up on some reading. We checked out Loggerheads and had some great seafood.
We really enjoyed your home. You have made it very friendly. Having the frame with the address and phone number on the counter is neat and helpful. We liked having the laundry baskets in each room, clocks, everything you need in the kitchen, all the beach equipment, laundry soap provided. You made it very special.
We hope to return in the future and would recommend it to our friends. We really liked Barrier Dunes 91. It felt like we had the area to our selves. Thanks for letting us know that we left it in good shape. We always try to leave things like we would want it. I will send you some pictures of our pets on their vacation!
Allan Doman, August 2008 (Repeat Guests)
Thanks Wendy! We had a very enjoyable week and will definitely be back!
Lisa Mitchell, August 2008
We had a great time! Friday (when Fay was coming) was the only day it rained much and Ronny fished in the lake and I watched movies. Everything we needed was there and then some. We spent all day at the beach everyday except Friday. We got lots of sun and lots of rest. Tucker had a ball and was a really great beach dog. Thanks for everythign. We truly enjoyed ourselves and can’t wait to plan another trip!
Shannon Rains, August 2008
WOW! It was better than I’d imagined! Thanks so much for letting us stay at your beautiful beach house. It went by SO fast it felt like we were only there a couple of days! It rained a little, but not enough to keep us off the beach. Thursday and Friday were beautiful and we took advantage of it. It is amazing how quiet the area is and we practically had the beach to ourselves! We will definitely be back!!!
Randy Hunnicutt, July 2008 – Repeat Guest
Our stay again this year was simply wonderful. We all had a terrific time. Carol and Brandon liked the new paint and decorations and we all enjoyed the extra storage space from converting the private closet in the kitchen to a common pantry. That really helped!
We went out with Captain Dwayne (Book Me a Charter) and had a great time. All 3 of us caught keeper fish and were good and worn our when we returned. Maybe Brandon or Ashley will send you some photo’s. Thanks again for the great time!
Jeff and MC Guenther, June 2008
We can’t say enough good things about Cape Escape II. The townhome was beautiful and better equipped than any we’ve ever stayed in. Loved it so much that I even want to know the name of the green paint color that was used in the master bedroom!
Despite the thunderstorms on occasion, the weather was perfect. Great times on the gorgeous bech, mixed with relaxing by the pool or fishing off our back deck. One day we rented tandem kayaks for a trip into the bay and my husband and son made several excursions into the national park (St. Joseph Peninsula State Park).
My daughter is already making plans for next year–she want to invite 3 of her friends. Thank you so much for making this a fabulous vacation for us. We will definitely be recommending Cape San Blas to all of our beach loving friends!
Lisa Jones, June 2008
I just wanted to let you know that we all had a great time, including the dogs. We arrived home safely and are ready to come back to Barrier Dunes after only 1 week back at work!
The condo was great and was as nice as it was described on the web page. We enjoyed all the beach toys and other items that were provided for our use in the condo. Thanks for hosting our stay. Please find the attached pictures of the dogs on the beach. It was funny that 1 dog played in the surf and the other wouldn’t get near the water, but instead was content to sit on a towel and play spectator while the other played.
We hope to be back and stay again soon!
Mike Hull, May 2008
We had a great time! The condo was nice and we liked that we had everything we could have needed was there. It was nice that there was not so many people or traffic. Having a washer and dryer was nice. We wish that we would have been able to spend more time down there. Thanks for returning the deposit in a timely manner and thanks for the patience in dealing with us.
Karen Dowd, May 2008
Just got back in..stopped and stayed with friends in Homosassa Springs. Thanks for the quick refund on the security deposit. We tried to keep everything tidy. Such a nice condo…Thanks!
We had a great time. Ended up getting a beach driving permit and went out to Indian Pass. Had a fantastic time! Dogs LOVED it! Went crabbing…went to wine bar in Apalachicola, watched sunset and let the 4-legged kids play! Had a great time, very relaxing!

Just wanted to give you a report on our trip to the Cape. We really enjoyed your beautiful condo and furnishings….. the weather was beautiful, cool and crisp. We went to St. Joseph State Park and hiked the trails, took day trips to Apalachicola and to Port St. Joe.
I love how your condo is decorated, great taste! I especially enjoyed your window seat. Did lots of reading and enjoyed sitting on the balcony off the living room and listening to the water fountain with the lake view–very soothing and relaxing.
All in all, it was a most wonderful getaway and thank you so very much for sharing your beautiful place!

We are back from another great week at the Cape. The time seemed to fly!! It was a little cool at first, but it warmed up beautifully. Emily went horseback riding this time!
Everything was great as usual. I will figure out times for next year and let you know :-)…counting the days!

This year was even more special than last year! I can’t thank you enough for keeping such a beautiful condo–I cried about 5 times before we left! We were taking last night about our next trip, we have dates picked out and will call you this week after we check out the other rentals you have now! The dogs had the best time and everyone loved them in the window seat! Thanks again!

John and I just returned from down South and yes, we did enjoy the Cape and we were very comfortable at your condo. The weather was great and we couldn’t get over how private it was. We did see quite a few beautiful sunsets. Thanks for returning the deposit check!

We had a great time!!! We will definitely be back. We were amazed on how quiet it is there and how friendly everyone is. We definitely said that if we were coming to Florida, we we go no where else but Cape San Blas. We have been to Daytona, Miami, Key West, St. Augustine, Tampa and Orlando, but they do not compare to the Cape.
It definitely was paradise and we are looking forward to coming back soon! We met a gentleman that owns a condo in Dunes Club and it got my husband’s wheel’s spinning. He thought, what a great idea to own a place down there someday. We are hooked. Thanks again and I will be forwarding some pictures soon.

We had a wonderful time at the Great Escape II. The accommodations are beautiful and you certainly provide everything a family could want for a beach vacation. The scalloping and fishing were terrific and we very much enjoyed having Fritz with us for the week. Looking forward to doing it next year.

I just wanted to let you know we received the deposit check today. Thank you. And thank you also for the nice, relaxing vacation in your condo. It was so nice to have everything we needed for the beach there already. The boys had a great time with the boogie and skim boards, and we weren’t expecting the added bonus of the umbrella (which the elderly beagles loved!) Morgan (the aussie/lab mix) would’ve kept going until she dropped. We would stop throwing her toy (which we bought at Petunia in Apalachicola) so she stop running into the water and swimming and the rest, but then she would throw it around on the beach (throwing sand up along with it!). The only way to get her to stop was to leave!
Ag home, she can’t stand to be inside very long, always wondering if there are squirrels in the yard that she’s missing, but she doesn’t have the beach here to wear her out! After we hosed off the dogs (we brought them up to the deck and closed the gate so they could thoroughly dry outside) she would just come in and sleep!
We gave the kids the master bedroom so they could all sleep together and they loved having control of the TV. They didn’t mind relaxing and just watching TV either! Here at home, they’re always busy riding their bikes and playing with neighbors. As nice as that is, it was great to just spend time alone together.
Thanks again for a great vacation spot and I have already recommended your website to several people! I’ll send you some pictures when I get them off my camera and into my computer!

We had a wonderful time on the Cape. It was awesome! We went to the beach, we went to the beach, ate, slept and went to the beach!
I loved that there was not many people. I am sure there is even less during the “off season”. We went to the state park one day and spent the day there. It was beautiful! On another day we rented a boat and went to the end of the Cape like you suggested and that was absolutely fabulous!
I didn’t want to leave! It was like we were on an adventure. We found wonderful shells. We saw a huge spotted sting ray and 2 blow fish. We also saw bunches of hermit crabs. The kids went crabbing in a little pool of water there and we caught lots of crabs. They were small so we didn’t keep them, but it was very fun.
Your condo is wonderful! I love the floor plan and we found everything we needed. Your art work was beautiful too! Thanks for being so generous.
I really do hope to get back next year or even in the fall season. I loved it. Thanks so much for everything!

I just wanted you to know we had a great time this week! We loved the beach, the condo and how quiet it was all week. We got in plenty of rest and are refreshed. Liza did great! It was here week being pampered at the “spa”. We are forever glad we found you. Thanks for your hospitality and thanks for the directions. We sure hope to come back next year!

We all had a great time and appreciate all that you and your family have done to make that such a special place. When we return to the Cape we will absolutely give
